About Us Payment Shipping Terms Returns About Us Beulah's Candyland is a retailer of candy and confectionary items located in Ephrata, Pennsylvania. Ephrata is located in Northern Lancaster County. Beulah's Candyland is a family owned business owned by Jeff and Sharmaine Weidman. In addition to our online candy store, we are located at the Green Dragon Farmer's Market in Ephrata. The Green Dragon Farmer's Market is open every Friday from 9:00am - 9:00pm. Beulah's Candyland has 4 stands inside building 1 at the Green Dragon Farmer's Market complex. Building 1 is the building which runs parallel to State Street, and the Cocalico Creek. In 2005, Jeff & Sharmaine purchased the Beulah's Candyland stand located in Building 1 of Green Dragon Farmer's Market. Beulah's Candyland is one of the original stands inside the Green Dragon Farmer's Market, which dates back to the 1920's. At the advice of several friends and family members who had visited the Beulah's Candyland stand as children, the Beulah's Candyland name was kept as the name for the candy business. In the Spring of 2005, the owners of K&K Candies, also a candy stand located in Building 1 of Green Dragon Farmer's Market approached Jeff & Sharmaine about selling their candy stand. K&K Candies sold primarily Sugar Free Candies and Fudge. Seeing that the Sugar Free Candy and Fudge would be a great addition to Beulah's Candyland, the market stand and inventory was purchased and became part of Beulah's Candyland. In the Fall of 2005, the owner's of Creekside Nuts and Things, a nut and dried fruit stand also located in Building 1 of Green Dragon Farmer's Market came up for sale. Adding a nut and dried fruit stand was a perfect fit for Beulah's Candyland, and the Creekside Nuts and Things business was purchased and became part of Beulah's Candyland. Since Green Dragon Farmer's Market is a Lancaster County tourist destination, many tourists inquired of ways to purchase candy from Beulah's Candyland through mail order. In order to display the candy inventory and allow customers to purchase candy easily through a website, Jeff decided to launch an online candy store using an EBAY store. Jeff had previous experience with using EBAY, and felt this was a quick and cost effective way to reach our customers. In 2006, beulahscandyland.com became the online store for Beulah's Candyland. Although the intent of the EBAY store was to reach our existing customers, the EBAY community quickly became additional customers for us. Today, beulahscandyland.com ships candy weekly to all destinations around the globe. In 2007, the owner's of Wilson's Sweet Stuff, another candy stand located in building 1 of Green Dragon Farmer's Market approached the Weidman's about a possible sale to Beulah's Candyland. Wilson's Sweet Stuff was a perfect fit for the Beulah's Candyland family, and in the Spring of 2007 became part of Beulah's Candyland. Today, Beulah's Candyland remains owned by Jeff and Sharmaine Weidman. Although Sharmaine primarily focuses her attention to her carreer as a dental hygienist, Jeff continues to manage the day to day operations of Beulah's Candyland. Jeff's mother Barbara, who joined the business full time in 2006, also assists in the day to day operations. Beulah's Candyland currently employs 13 employees who work at Green Dragon and with mail order. All of our candies, nuts, fudge, etc.. are packaged upon the customer placing their order. We do not package products ahead of time waiting for the sale to occur. This process of packaging upon ordering enables us to provide our customers the most fresh product available. We receive our candies in bulk, with deliveries arriving daily each week. We have a very high turnover of product, with most products being in our inventory only 1-2 weeks at the most. Therefore, you can always be certain you are receiving fresh and delicious candies. About Us Payment Shipping Terms Returns Returns In the event you receive a package of candy, and you need to return the candy to us; we are able to accept the return only if the heat seal bag and/or packaging has not been opened. We are unable to accept return of food items if the heat seal packaging has been opened. Upon receiving return of the candy in its original unopened packaging, we will process a refund for the purchase price only. The cost to return the candy to us is the responsibility of the customer. There are times when we receive requests to accept return of candy items because the customer does not enjoy the taste of the candy. Unfortunately, we are not able to accept returns for candy which the customer does not prefer the taste of a particular candy.
