ROLEX OYSTER ROYALITE MILITARY WATCH

This watch was just obtained from a World War II pilot estate. According to his wife, he wore it during the war. The watch is an automatic. It runs but after a while it stops. Then when it is shaken it starts again. I am sure it needs to be serviced to work properly. There are two bad scratches on the back of the case. There are two numbers on the back 140092 and 2280. The dial looks clean. There are a lot of scratches on the crystal. The knob is a push in and screw type. It is marked PATENT OYSTER. The dial not counting the stem or the lugs is approx. 1 1/4" in diameter. (see photos for more details).
